Preparedness Tips

The Bolivar Office of Emergency Management encourages you to have plans and supplies to fend for yourself for 72 hours after a major emergency.

Bolivar has eight(8) storm sirens situated throughout the community that will sound for three minutes under a Tornado Warning issues by the National Weather Service that affects Bolivar proper. There will then be a three minute pause before the sirens start again. There is no all clear. Watch local media or the EM FB page for updates during a storm. If you hear the sirens going off, seek shelter and monitor weather broadcasts.
