Golf Course
The City's Municipal Golf Course has recently come under City Management after being leased and operated as the Bolivar Golf Club for more than 30 years. Located 1506 W. Broadway St., it is a beautiful 9 hole course offering play to all ages featuring "Two for Twenty Dollar Tuesdays" and monthly specials. Memberships are available by contacting the Golf Course or City Hall at 417-326-2489.
Aquatic Center
The new Bolivar Aquatic Center opened in the summer of 2012. It is located at 1710 W. Broadway. Contact 417-777-1215 with any questions. The Aqua Zone is set to open the first weekend in May. Watch our Facebook page for updates. Closed for the season.
Youth Park
The Youth Park located at 410 W. Madison, has two full-length basketball courts, splash fountains, a playground, picnic facilities, restrooms and a community room. The community room can be reserved by contacting the City Utilities Department at 417-326-2489
Frisco Highline Trail Bridge
Located at 711 W. Broadway, this bridge is at the north end of the trail and is used as a crossover of a busy street ornamented with signs of self-confidence. http://www.friscohighlinetrail.org/
Frisco Highline Trail
Located at 800 W. Jackson, the City of Bolivar has developed this northern end of the Ozark Greenway Trails system spanning from Springfield to Bolivar. The trailhead building has seasonal restrooms, a covered picnic area, bike lock racks and two parking lots. http://www.friscohighlinetrail.org/
John Playter Memorial Park
This park is a veteran’s memorial to the men and women that have served in the armed forces. The park has a lighted walking trail winding through it with picnic tables and benches along the trail.
Neuhart Park – Plaza of the Americas
Located at 711 S. Springfield, this park is the location of the Simon` Bolivar statue; a place where both foreign and domestic representations of government meet with the people of Bolivar and the surrounding areas. This park has transformed into a Plaza with a fountain, memorial bricks and benches. Hours for the Plaza of the Americas are: April – September M – F 7:30 am – 9:00 pm Sat. & Sun. 7:00 am – 9:00 pm October – March M – F 7:30 am – 6:00 pm Sat. & Sun. 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
Keeling Park
This park at 329 S. Springfield Ave. is a point of interest marking the stop here in Bolivar of the Butterfield Stage Company. A cover over the spring, a picnic table and a sundial make up this small park. (more…)
Girl Scout Park
This little park located at 401 S. Clark has two large picnic tables; one with stone BBQ grill and a stream that runs year round, making it a nice place to have lunch. (more…)
Fullerton Ball Fields
Located at 1700 E. Aldrich Road, this complex has nine ball fields; three of which have lights for night games. Leading out of the large lighted parking lot is an extra wide sidewalk (more…)
Football and Soccer Fields
These fields are located south of the YMCA front door parking lot. The YMCA is located at 1710 W. Broadway.
Elmwood Park
Located at 117 S. Dunnegan, Elmwood is a small neighborhood park designed with 2 to 5 year old children’s play equipment. Don’t worry older brothers and sisters; we have a swing set you can use, too. (more…)
Dunnegan Memorial Park
Located at 601 W. Forest (N. Highway 83), this park is a real gem. If offers four pavilions with water and electricity, seasonal restrooms, play equipment, picnic tables through the park, BBQ grill and pits, nature trails, horseshoe pits, washer toss pits, storm safe room and a small lake. (more…)
